Philosophy
I have three goals: I want to show my island of Santo Antão in all its beauty, I want to contribute to preserving this beauty and I want to support my people with my work whenever it´s possible.
Hikes with me are therefore more than just spending time in nature. As a guest you make an active contribution to the well-being of the people. We can only with gentle tourism preserve nature as the greatest asset we have and feed ourselves with it. You guessed it already… I follow the ideas of sustainability!
For me, this is linked to “slow tourism”, community-based tourism and eco-tourism.

Our promise
1. We always work professionally and with heart to guarantee you a uniquely beautiful experience on Santo Antão.
2. We work with locals and pay them fairly.
3. We try to reduce CO² emissions as much as possible. Therefore, our means of transport are selected appropriately or we largely avoid them on trekking tours.
4. We only work with trained local guides. We train some guides ourselves to enable more people to earn an income that corresponds to their abilities.
5. We try to let as many people as possible participate in the earning opportunities within the framework of community tourism. This can also simply be buying a good cup of coffee from a family along the way.
6. In order to act fairly and to avoid envy within the communities, we choose changing cooperation partners within the framework of community tourism.
7. We select our cooperation partners from transport, catering, community and hotellery very carefully so that they suit us and you.
