Even if you don't like fantasy movies a hike in the Ribeira de Torre gives you the opportunity to feel like a little extra in such a movie. The valley is very green, similar to the Paúl valley, but has a fantastic and graceful relief. Agricultural cultivation is successful thanks to the comparatively rich water resources. Like Ribeira de Paúl Ribeira de Torre is a natural park. Incidentally, the two valleys have already been designated as “World Heritage Sites” by the United Nations. Unfortunately, the final test is still pending.

The domes of the rocks near Xôxô are not without a reason among the most photographed volcanic features on Santo Antão. This place is just magic and fabulous. The atmosphere is always peaceful and resembles a tiny Garden of Eden thanks to the diverse flora and the gentle rushing of water paired with the chirping of birds. At the same time the mostly dry riverbed bears witness to the forces of nature that make their way here during the rainy season. The hike is relatively short but should not be underestimated due to the incline.
