From the rather busy Ponta do Sol a path leads to Fontainhas, one of Cape Verde's most famous villages. Why is a village famous? Well, this little place seems to have been magically attached to a rocky outcrop and steep mountainside. Often you can read the comparison to the eagle's nest which is quite appropriate. This hike is more of a walk and can be done return or just one way with transport.
